Paula Ludusan Gibe is a Romanien-born curator and art historian based in Sweden. With 10+ years of experience working with contemporary art exhibition-making and public programming, her curatorial practice is combines a sensitive approach and insight into the political structures within the art field.
Her interest lies within meaning making in the contemporary art exhibition in which using radical pedagogical tools to create different platforms is essential. She is working in collaborative curatorial processes to expand the field and encourage dialogue-based intersections between curators and artists.
Her focus is to create space within the institution for temporary experimental installations where artists such as locally based Ingrid Furre, Jenny Grönvall and Helena Olsson have been a part of. Together with artist and spatial sound designer Tim Bishop, she co-founded Mono Festival of One-to-One-Performance working with artists such as Lundahl & Seitl, Cantabile 2 and Bombina Bombast. She curated Anna Ling’s first major solo exhibition in Sweden and most recently co-curated the exhibition 3 summers with artists Tarik Kiswanson, Lisa Tan and Fatima Moallim.
Paula is curator of exhibitions and mediation at Lunds konsthall, Sweden, working within the institution’s tradition of exhibiting both local and international established artists.
