Patricia Couvet (b. 1994, Paris, FR) is a curator based in Berlin. With a background in cultural history (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), her work relies on the entanglement of human and social sciences with the curatorial. Her practice seeks to create transnational collaborations while experimenting on the format of the curatorial realm (exhibitions, publications, performative and discursive formats).
Currently, she is co-director with Anastasia Marukhina of two initiatives by the art collective Slavs and Tatars in Berlin (DE): the residency-mentorship for emerging art professionals from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia and Pickle Bar, a project space with a slavic take on the aperitivo bar that focus on performative and discursives formats. She co-founded with Samuel Arnaud DVA Press, a publishing house and curatorial project based between Strasbourg and Berlin.
In 2019, she attended the post-graduate program in Curatorial Studies at KASK, Ghent (BE). Previously, she collaborated with WIELS, Brussels (BE) as assistant for the residency program and assisted projects in BOZAR, Brussels (BE), Immanence, Paris (FR), Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain, Strasbourg (FR).
