HuM-Collective
September — November 2022
→ Bucharest

The HuM-Collective was founded in 2014 by Hannah Häußer and Maximilian Borchert, in Stuttgart, Germany. Their practice, which continually shifts between visual art, theory, curation, and design, revolves primarily around the torn hybrid role of sociocultural platforms as safe- but also inclusive spaces, as well as its significance for an independent cultural scene. One main focus in this context is the question of the importance of care working within cultural work.

Currently, they are exploring the practice of listening as an integral component of any platform and as a fundamental requirement for non-repressive and caring collaboration.

The residency is organised in the frame of Akademie Schloss Solitude's Eastern European Network exchange program.
