Frida Carazzato

Since 2009 Frida Carazzato (Padova, 1980) is assistant curator at Museion – Museum for contemporary art in Bolzano (Italy).
For the same institution she is curator for the Piccolo Museion – Cubo Garutti, a project of public art created by the Italian artist Alberto Garutti; curator for the video and performance program of the Museum Media Façade; curator for the performance public program and site specific interventions and coordinator for curatorial and artistic Museion's awards. From 2012 to 2015 she was curator for the Museion Project Room, a space designed to present recent and/or previously unexhibited works by artists from the local area and beyond.

As independent curator she curated solo and group shows as : (2017) “What Next?” Solo show by Riccardo Previdi. Villa Croce Contemporary Art Museum, Genova (I); (2016) “Noi non siamo fiume”. Solo show by Davide Savorani. Kunsthalle Eurocenter, Lana, Bz (I); (2012) “State of Transit”. Group show by /barbaragurrieri/group, Mario Rizzi, Esra Ersen, Zineb Sedira and Taysir Batniji, Open Space, Vienna (AT); (2010) “e-flux video rental rome”. A project by Anton Vidokle and Julieta Aranda, Fondazione Giuliani, Rome (I).

She studied Curatorial Practices at the International Curatorial Training Program (2007-2008) of Ecole du Magasin-Le Magasin-CNAC in Grenoble (FR); Master in "Cultural Activities and Museum Management” (2005-2006); Internship MAE-CRUI (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Conference of Italian University Rectors) in Rabat, Morocco (2006); MA Philosphy (2000-2005).

She was curator in residency at MSU Zagreb for the European project “Translocal: Museum as Toolbox” (2016), and participant at 7th Summer Seminars for Art Curators in Yerevan, Armenia (2013).

Since 2014 she is Member of the Advisory Board of the Italian Culture Department of the Province of Bolzano (Italy).
